Welcome to Giffords Hall
Giffords Hall is located in the village of Hartest between Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury in Suffolk We currently have 12 Acres of vines under cultivation with four grape varieties; Madeleine Angevine, Reichensteiner, Bacchus, Rondo. We are one of the largest producers of Madeleine Angevine.
We are able to offer our customers good quality, clean grapes that have achieved gold medal status. We are able to transport around single 9 tonne loads in returnable crates.
Whilst we were growers only we do now produce some wine for retail. Top winemakers have produced for us a dry white wine from our Madelaine Angevine grapes and sparkling wine from a blend of the Madeleine, Bacchus and Reichensteiner.
Giffords Hall Sparkling 2005
It has taken us four years to produce a fine sparkling wine with wonderful overtones of fruit and flowers and a fine dry finish. This fresh herbaceous quality is, according to Julia Trustram Eve of English Wine Producers ‘an East Anglian regional characteristic.’ We are very proud to offer our Giffords Hall sparkling 2005.
Made by a top winemaker who also produces for Waitrose, this holds it own with any French Champagne sold locally. It is perfect for summer drinking, winter celebrations or for any special occasion.
We are hoping to produce both sparkling, and still white of similar quality from this years vendage, as growing conditions have been on a par with 2005 and we only produce our wines from the best vintage years.
We can sell direct at a highly competitive £17.99 per bottle plus p&p or contact us if you wish to discuss tasting prior to a function. We can also discuss a personal labeling service for special occasions.
