Giffords Hall Vineyard
Giffords Hall is a family owned vineyard planted on the site of an ancient glacial riverbed near Long Melford in Suffolk. Our sandy/clay soil produces quality grapes, high in natural sugars and acids, that lend themselves particularly well to both sparkling and dry, aromatic still wines.
The vineyard was planted around 25 years ago and the vines are now in their prime. Madeleine Angevine, Bacchus, Reichensteiner, Rondo, Pinot Noir, (both Burgundian and Precoce), and of course our Pinot Blanc, all do well on this site.

Producing Award Winning English Wines
The wines are now drinking really well - benefiting from a great growing year in 2019. The 2020 vintage is all bubbling away in the winery and the wines are due for bottling in March. This years sparkling vendage has been racked and is now ageing on its lees in our lovely French Oak barrels.
Our wines have received many awards and trophies over the years including the Waitrose trophy for most outstanding rose and National English Wine Trophy for our Bacchus.

Meet the Team
Dear Emma,We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Giffords Hall on Saturday and, on behalf of everyone, would appreciate it if you could forward our thanks to Linda and Guy for giving us such a warm welcome and such an informative visit and tasting.
The group were suitably inspired and impressed to learn that it is not only sparkling wines that are excelling. Your wines are just getting better and better.......... and the 'Mad Angey' was a particular favourite!
With very best wishes
